Rescued dog Rescues other Dogs

Rescue Dog Trooper from Italy, now a 12 years old Senior.

Limping a lot the last couple of days, so a visit to our wonderful veterinarian, Stephanie.

All our animals loves her, and especially the lapdog Trooper.

X rays, blood test and urine test were being made, all because of different reasons.
Hopefully we receive good results tomorrow. Paws crossed please!

Trooper was being found in a shelter only 9 months old. He was bought from Hungary 2007, for 900 euro. Trooper was a happy puppy, and like many young dogs he dug around in their garden.

The family was furious, and dropped him off at a small shelter.

2016 he was diagnosed with severe cancer and had probably 6 months left to live. Well, he fooled the veterinarian by that time, big time. And we are happy for that.

Trooper has been with us for 11 years, and he is the best dog in many different ways. He is our welcome dog, greeting all new rescue dog(s). Trooper shows the newcomers around, and tells them the houesehold routines in the AWL Senior Enviroment.
Amazing hard, and great Support worker!

Goodbye Gracie

Sadly we had to say goodbye to our Gracie. Nothing more could be done, during the weekend she became weaker, and we made the desision to say goodbye.

She was an amazing rat that helped me overcome my “rat-fear”. Teaching me how amazing they are, and funny and super clean.

We will miss our small feet running across the floor. Climbing on our backs to check out what we are eating.

You taught us a lot.

That’s Amore!

Good bye Friend

Our sweetest little rescue dog have traveled to the Rainbow Bridge.

We rescued Dexter ten years ago from that horrible little house, were he was locked into the darkness together with some other dogs. He lived inside and constanlty for ten years did he lift his leg. However, with the smallest bladder we always forgave him and rolled the carpets away.

Age of probably twenty years old, he prepared us for a good bye. He was ready, I thought I was.

There are so many steps of grieving.

To say goodbye, when waking up in the morning I still look after him. Preparing the dogbowls of food, and still I turn around and belive that he sits there waiting together with the others to eat.

It never gets easy to lose a big soul (in a tiny body) that gave you his complete love for many years, without asking for anything in return.

Mom Dog Searching for Help

A lonely mom is trying to survive

She is walking alone on the streets of Campania Italy, searching for food. She is pregnant and needs plenty of extra food.

Years earlier, it was easy for the strays to survive on the streets since the garbage was being thrown out on the streets by the people. Now due to clean up on the streets, many strays dogs are starving to death.

Rossella Shelter saw the female dog and took her in. Tired, but thankful she fell asleep on the blankets that were put out for her in the box.

Peacefully she could give birth. Not everyone is “lucky” like her, but for her let us continue helping her and her puppies.

Please help us help her and the shelter, by providing vaccination, de-worming, puppy food, puppy pads, and for the mother; nutrition, vaccination, sterilization, food, de-worming.

That’s Amore!
